The X-Files

My friend saw my copies of The X-Files box sets, and asked me what it was about. I explained the Mytharc, being a "Believer" and a "Skeptic." The rolls Mulder and Scully play in the show, and so on. So my friend asks me if he could watch season one episode one. So we watch it, and this is what my friend says at the end. “This is only one episode? There’s so much happening, so much information to take in. It’s so heavy.”

In other words my friend likes the show.

Movies I’ve watched after the Hard Target incident.

Ice Harvest
Eragon
Blade Runner –The Final Cut. (The movie and book are both good in their own rites)
Harold and Kumar go to White Castle
Beerfest
Juno (in the Theater)

TV I’ve watched…
The X-Files Season 2 and 3… so far.

Hard Target

Watching Hard Target right now. Wow this is so bad! Yancy Butler has some thick eye brows. well some cool fight moves just happened. John Woo seems to love slowing down the film to express how hard Van Damme can hit others. I have a feeling Van Damme's character ends up sleeping with Yancy Butler's character. I feel like I'm watch a long version of a Billy Ray Cyrus music video. I think its the mullet.

36 minutes to go I'm gonna do a little commentary on what I find interesting. Whats up with John Woo and motorcycles? I think this movie would go quicker, and be a lot shorter if there were no slow motion in it. OMG! Van Damme just knocked out a snake with his fist! Then he bit off his rattle. I just noticed, if Van Damme put on a Jean Jacket, he'd have a Canadian Tuxedo. WHAT! He has a horse now.. A HORSE! What else can happen. His uncle, who looks like Santa, has a bow and arrow. The funny thing is that he's going against machine guns. Oh look he has explosives, and he just blew up his house and got away, What the Heck. OH!! THERE ARE THE BIRDS! 20 minutes to go, and I bet its all action all the time! I think Van Damme just told a pigon what to do to help him. Why are the motorcycle dudes fighting with their helmets still on? Yancy just got a gun. oh shoot she shot a bad dude. and there are the birds again. Alright cool fight scence just happend. Van Damme shoot the bad but then kicks him to finish him off, no thats some awsome finish moves. And now here are the endless bullets. Whats with the main bad dude with the one bullet gun.  How does that work well? Van Damme said a sweet line "How does it feel to be hunted?" I feel complete now. Van Damme just grabbed a burning 2x4 with his bare hand. What! He just said "Hunting season... is over..." And there are the birds again. Fin.

I kinda wish Steven Segal did this movie

So far I this vaction, I haven't watch as many DVDs as I wanted to but I'm slowly making progress.
I finished
Road Trip
JFK
Little Miss Sunshine
Hard Target.

I gotta watch one more after this to make up for hard target. I think I'll watch the Ice Harvest now.

Plans the involve spending money.

I have 3 things I need to do that involve money. I took care of the first one on Saturday which was servicing my car.

I did the 90k service, wow; I already drove 90k miles. Then the brakes needed to be replaced, and they installed my fender liner for free, which in turned fixed my air bag warning sign. I sat there a total of 4 hours, man that was long. Good thing Brian picked me up and we ate lunch together.

The other things I need to do are:

  1. buy new cell phones for my mom and I
  2. Take my bike in to get the brake lever fixed (keeps popping out) and install a new crankset.

The rest of the things should take about 4 or 5 weeks to accomplish. But there is a fourth thing that I want to get. I want to get “The Orange Box” (http://orange.half-life2.com) which is a Half Life 2 set for computer. It has five games in it and it looks pretty awesome. I might pick that up this week, I’m not sure. It comes out on 10.10.07 so I have a couple days to think about it.

These plans have been festering in my mind for some time now, and I’m finally getting it done. It’s going to take a while, but I should have it done by the end of November.

On to other things random things, Pushing Daises.

Pushing Daises is probably the best new show of the 2007/2008 season. I got to say it has the feel of Wonderfalls, yet it doesn’t fall directly into that it. Its fresh and smart, I truly hope that it makes it.

I have 25 shows that I record on my DVR. Its amazing. I can’t believe I have that many shows on my list

Here are some off the top of my head

The Office, Numbers, Monk, Psych, Burn Notice, Bionic Woman, Pushing Daises, How I Met your mother, House, Scrubs, Dirty Jobs.. so many I can’t even remember.

Look at my life. I love it.

Thing I need to do.

So there are a few things that I need to accomplish in the next few weeks. I will show you list form with explanations.
  1. Clean my room. Because its just plain messy
  2. Have my fender liner installed at the mechanic on Saturday. Because the one on the car flew off on the freeway
  3. Go to Eye Doctor and get these pieces of junk checked out. Because my head is starting to hurt, and I need new glasses (I decided to get some awesome frames, even though they may be expensive)

I don’t feel like doing this anymore. I have like 20, but I'll do it some other time.

But I’ll tell you a story. My friend Andrea walks up to me during a baby shower yesterday and asks me if I was at church today. My answer to her went something like this. “Andrea I said hi to you today… Also you bought me an Horchata! How could you forget I was at church?” That was pretty funny, I guess I’m forgettable sometimes.
